Josemaria and Sanchez out in the quarter-finals — Llaguno and Riera won with big numbers
Patty Llaguno dominated the match and, together with Virginia Riera, was able to win with big numbers 6-2, 6-2 against one of the favorites Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez.
That means that the second-seeded pair Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez got eliminated in the quarter-finals for the second tournament in a row. In the Barcelona Masters, the team was stopped by the Alayeto twins, who, due to injury, are not taking part in the Lugo Open.

The team now faces Victoria Iglesias and Aranza Osoro in the semi-finals, a team that beat Lucia Sainz and Bea Gonzalez in three sets earlier in the day. On the other side, world number one Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar are through to the semi-finals. However, after dropping a set to Carolina Navarro and Eli Amatriain.
Who they will meet of Tamara Icardo/Delfi Brea and "Las Martas" is not clear yet. That match is currently being played.
