Josemaria and Sanchez to their third Masters final

ANNONS
CASCAIS. Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez are at their best when it matters most. In three Masters competitions this season, the team has gone to as many finals. Today, the team won the semifinals against Bea Gonzalez and Lucia Sainz by big numbers.

First a tournament victory in the Marbella Masters, then a second place in the Valladolid Masters. Now Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria are ready for their third Masters final of the season.

Their victory over Lucia Sainz and Bea Gonzalez in the semi-finals of the Cascais Masters ended 6-2, 6-1, and there was never any question about it. Tomorrow, the team in second place in the Race of 2021 (behind Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar) has the chance of its fourth tournament win of the season.

On the other side of the net in Sunday's final will be Marta Marrero and Marta Ortega, chasing their first title of the year. The team won big earlier in the day in their semi-final against Tamara Icardo and Delfi Brea.

That means we'll see a repeat of the Las Rozas Open, where Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez won comfortably by the scores of 6-2, 6-1.

For Bea Gonzalez and Lucia Sainz, today's loss means the team has been eliminated in five semi-finals this season. The team's best result is from the first tournament of the season when the team made it to the final but lost to just Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez.
