ANNONS

Canal + acquires the broadcasting rights for the World Padel Tour to 2026. The first to reveal the news was the french site Padel Magazine.

Canal + will officially start broadcasting the last tournament of this season, the Madrid Masters Final, writes Padel Magazine from December 16 to 19.

They also write that it may be possible to broadcast domestic French tournaments like the French padel championships and important tournaments organized by the French Tennis Federation. The French Tennis Federation runs padel in France.

A week ago, World Padel Tour director Mario Hernandez revealed to the Spanish newspaper Marca that the World Padel Tour would start broadcasting more from the main tournaments starting already next season.

Without going into too much detail, Fernando Hernando promised to expand the offer of World Padel Tour matches:

”Starting next year, there will be more broadcasting days to offer more visibility to our players and more hours of spectacle to the fans.”

Hernando also said that World Padel Tour is in talks with several networks to reach more countries through TV, a step before doing it physically by staging its tournaments outside Spain.

Next year, the World Padel Tour has announced that a tournament will be held in Denmark. A country that has never hosted a WPT tournament before. More new venues are expected to be announced soon.
