Stupaczuk sick in covid-19: ”Very strong symptoms”
World number seven Franco Stupaczuk will miss the Cascais Master, which starts this weekend. The reason is that "Stupa" tested positive for covid-19.
— I have had corona for more than a week, with very strong symptoms, he writes on his Instagram.
The World Padel Tour announces this on its website.
"I don't know where to start because the truth is it's hard to express anything sad. I have had corona for more than a week and with very strong symptoms. It has made me miss several important things, and it also makes me miss the next master in Portugal. I am doing everything to recover, but it isn't easy. My loved ones are taking care of me and making sure I can get through this," Stupaczuk wrote on his Instagram.
As registration for the Cascais Master closes tomorrow, it is unclear who his current partner Alex Ruiz will be playing with.
"I wish Alex Ruiz the best of luck with his new partner in Portugal, and hopefully, we can compete together again next week," he continues.
Alex Ruiz himself has sent well wishes to his partner in a separate posting.
"Buddy, this photo defines us, and soon we will be fighting together again. Now it's time to take care of yourself and recover. We know it's not easy, but nothing will take away the desire to get up and fight. The whole team is with you," he writes.
