Triay and Salazar take revenge — win their third title

Alejandra Salazar and Gemma Triay took command of the match from the start. But Tamara Icardo and Delfi Brea fought back in the first set. In the end, they couldn't take it anymore, and Salazar and Triay were able to win the set by 7-5. 

In the second set, there was no question about it. Gemma Triay was the big giant of the court, and the team was able to go up 5-0. Then Icardo and Brea managed to break and get up to 2-5 before the set ended 6-2. 

The Malaga Open title is the team's third of the year. The previous ones have been taken in the Valladolid Masters and Alicante Open. 

This means that Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar now equal Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez in the number of titles they have won this season. Together they have won six out of nine tournaments. 

Two titles have gone to Tamara Icardo and Delfi Brea, and one title to Virginia Riera and Patty Llaguno.
