MALAGA. The quarter-finals are underway in Malaga Open, with the Spanish Youtube celebrity and social media star Jesús Rincón Géntico in attendance: ”This is the best sport, together with football,” he says to Padel Alto.

The Spanish social media star Jesús Rincón Géntico is famous for his Delantero09 Youtube channel with over 3 million subscribers.

He lives in Madrid and visits one of his favorite cities Malaga, this week for World Padel Tour. A tour that he is a big follower of.

— I follow all the matches. I have many friends here like Ale Galan, Alex Ruiz, and Marta Ortega. I am so happy to be here to see all the matches, he says to Padel Alto.

Ale Galan and Juan Lebron were already eliminated in the Round of 16 for the first time this year. Alex Ruiz/Franco Stupaczuk and Marta Ortega/Marta Marrero were eliminated during Friday's quarter-finals.

— Yes. I actually went to see Ale Galan. Unfortunately, I cannot see him because he is eliminated, but I will see some other matches here, Jesús Rincón Géntico says.

He started his Youtube channel in 2013. In the beginning, it was mostly football. Freestyles, dribbling drills, and reviews. Now it's football and padel on the Youtube account PadelForAll, often wearing Real Madrid jerseys.

— I have played tennis and football all my life. Padel is so different, and I am trying to improve. It's a good sport with two people in the same team, not only one. This is the best sport, together with football, he says.

What is the best thing about the sport?

— The golden point is the best. You don't know what is going to happen.

On his Youtube channel, padel does not compare to football in terms of popularity. But it's getting bigger.

— Padel is the new thing. All the professional football players play padel. The sport is growing so much and the future is big. At the moment there is only one big tour, World Padel Tour. But I think we have more tours in different countries in the future.

Do you think it´s going to be more international with time?

— Of course. The sport needs to be more international, not only here and in Argentina. Maybe the sport will come to the United States, at that moment, the padel will be three or four times bigger than today.
