Tapia smashes home the first title of the season
You could already see in the semi-final against Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan that the pair had made up their minds for this tournament.
They brought the same intensity into the final from the start. With an aggressive style of play, especially from Agustin Tapia, the team was able to go up 6-1 and 1-0 in the set after only 27(!) minutes.
The second set was more even and ended 6-4, but Agustin Tapia and Pablo Lima were clearly the better team throughout the match and were well-deserved winners of the Las Rozas Open. It was clear that Agustin Tapia was enjoying the fast conditions that were in Las Rozas, with a location high above sea level and with a high temperature in the air making the game very fast and advantageous for an aggressive style of play.
The tournament win marks the pair's first together. At best, the team has been to the final before, at the Marbella Masters earlier in the season.
The next competition is in Malaga. There the game will be much slower.
