ANNONS

LAS ROZAS. The world's best pair is out of the Las Rozas Open. Marta Ortega and Marta Marrero beat Gemma Triay in the final tiebreak and are through to the semi-finals. Here are all Saturday´s semi-finals.

The match was very close and ended with a decisive tiebreak where Marta Marrero and Marta Ortega were the strongest team. Before that, Salazar and Triay had match points at 5-3 in the final set. But Ortega and Marrero came back and eventually won the match in Marta Ortega's hometown of Madrid.

The match ended 7-5, 3-6, 7-6, favoring”Las Martas.”

Another close match on the women's side was on Friday morning between Victoria Iglesias/Aranza Osoro and Lucia Sainz/Bea Gonzalez. This match also ended in a decisive tiebreak, with Bea Gonzalez and Lucia Sainz winning.

In tomorrow's semi-finals, Marta Ortega and Marta Marrero will face Tamara Icardo and Delfi Brea. During the last Valencia Open tournament, the teams met in the quarter-finals, where Tamara Icardo and Delfi Brea won in a tiebreak.

The other semi-final will be played between Bea Gonzalez/Lucia Sainz and Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez, who advanced to the semi-finals on a walkover.

On the men´s side Fernando Belasteguin/Sanyo Gutierrez face the winners from Valladolid Masters, Lucho Capra and Maxi Sanchez. Just like in Valladolid, padel is played fast in Madrid because Madrid is so high above sea level and it's hot.

This suits Capra and Sanchez's fast style of play very well.

The last semi-final on Saturday will be played between Juan Lebron/Ale Galan against Pablo Lima and Agustin Tapia.
