Big surprise in the Round of 16 — 17-year-old wins against Sainz/Gonzalez

The result was 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. This means that the semi-finalists from the Valladolid Masters, Lucia Sainz and Bea Gonzalez, are already out in the Round of 16 in the Valencia Open. 

The last weekend, Lucia Sainz cancelled the open class of the European Championships with an injured foot, and in an interview, she told Padel Alto that she would play the Valencia Open with pain. 

For Beatriz Caldera and Carmen Goenaga, the win means the team is through to its first quarter-final on the World Padel Tour. 

Now the team faces Victoria Iglesias and Aranzazu Osoro in Friday's quarter-finals.
