Italy to final — after a comeback against Sweden: ”Very important for us”

Sweden took a 1-0 lead, but after two solid Italian matches, the team was able to turn around and win the semi-final. Tomorrow they face Spain. "Spain is favorites”, says Marcello Capitani. 

MARBELLA. 

Marcelo Capitani and Simone Cremona were the match winners.  They won the final match against the Swedes Viktor Stjern and Pierre Bonfré. 

— I am very happy right now, we are very united as a team. We played well in a difficult game against Sweden, Marcelo Capitani says. 

Sweden took the lead in the match through Daniel Windahl and Simon Vasquez. 

— The team was a little nervous then, but we were thinking it was a very even match and that it was fifty-fifty, says Capitani. 

The last European Championship organized by FIP was won by Italy. 

— Yes, we won the European Championships but back then Spain was not in the tournament. The sport is growing and it is important for the whole of Italy, says Capitano. 

France against Spain is being played right now. But Marcelo Capitani is confident it will be Spain they face tomorrow. 

— Spain is favorites in the final, but we are going to enjoy the game, he says.
