Instant success for JMD and Lijo — knocked out Ruiz and Stupaczuk

VALLADOLID. The result was 7-6, 3-6, 6-2, and the success was a fact in Juan Martin Diaz and Pablo Lijo´s first match together in this year's World Padel Tour.

After several disappointing results with Coki Nieto, Juan Martin Diaz changed partners for the second Master's tournament of the season, the Valladolid Masters. But despite the tough draw against Franco Stupazchuk and Alex Ruiz in the first round, the new couple was able to win at the Plaza Mayor in central Valladolid.  

Tomorrow they will play Lucas Campagnolo and Alvaro Cepero in the Round of 16, which must be seen as a much easier task. 

So how did Juan Martin Diaz and Pablo Lijo's old partners? Coki Nieto and Tito Allemandi lost their match in the Round of 32 against Javier Barahona and Adrian Blanco in two sets, 3-6, 4-6.
