Botello in tears after win – the pair ready for their first semi-final of the season

MARBELLA. A quarter-final is the best the team of Javi Ruiz and Uri Botello has achieved this season. In addition, Uri Botello was forced to withdraw from the first tournament of the year due to Covid-19. 

But in the first Masters of the season, the pair are now ready for the semi-final after 6-4, 3-6, 6-0. 

After the match, a meaningful victory was evident when Uri Botello broke down in tears during the victory interview with the WPT broadcast. 

Javi Ruiz, who is from Andalusia, thanked his father and girlfriend in the stands. 

For the losers, Federico Chingotto and Juan Tello the tough season continues. Tomorrow, Ruiz and Botello will face Pablo Lima and Agustin Tapia in the semi-final.
